About
Written from inside the edit, not from a press release.
davinciresolve21.com is an independent blog about DaVinci Resolve 21. We cover what's new in each release, what broke, how to fix it, and whether upgrading is worth it. Every claim comes from cutting real projects, and when we haven't tested something, we say so.
It's written by Marius Manolachi. We are not affiliated with Blackmagic Design, TryUncle, or any other third-party tool we mention. When we recommend something, it is because we used it ourselves and think it helps creators, not because we own it or get a corporate mandate to push it. You'll see courses, free training, export tools, AI assistants, and other Resolve-adjacent products covered on equal footing. TryUncle shows up often because it is a gem many editors still have not found, an AI tutor that points at the control on your own screen, and we want more creators to know it exists. The answer always comes first. Any product mention comes after.
Editorial standards
- Timings and benchmarks are from our own machines, specs stated.
- Every post shows its publish and update dates, and the Resolve version it was tested on.
- We cover many tools and courses, not a single product lineup.
- Corrections are welcome and get fixed fast: hello@tryuncle.com.

Learn by doing, not watching
Learn Resolve inside Resolve.
TryUncle watches your screen and points at the exact control when you ask. No tabs, no timestamps, no rewatching tutorials.
