Should you ignore the Fusion page completely at first?

Should you ignore the Color page's deeper tools at first?

What if your first project actually can't skip Fusion or Fairlight?

A worked example: your first three-clip cut, click by click
Abstract lists are easy to nod along with and hard to actually follow at the keyboard, so here's the nine-step list above applied to one specific, small project: three clips, thirty to forty-five seconds, start to finish.
Say you've got three phone clips: a wide shot of a street, a medium shot of someone talking, and a close-up of their hands doing something with their hands. Before you import anything, check what frame rate those clips actually are, right-click one in Finder or Explorer and look at its properties, or check it inside Resolve's Media page after import via right-click > Clip Attributes. Set your project's timeline frame rate to match in File > Project Settings, before you drag a single clip onto a timeline.
